Welcome to the Brookings County Chapter of the American Red Cross

The Brookings County Chapter of the American Red Cross organized in 1918 to provide and administer Red Cross services for the area.

Since 1997, the Brookings Red Cross has been administered by staff members working hard for the Brookings Community!

We provide disaster relief from house fires, floods, and other types of disasters. We're part of a network that provides emergency messaging from military dependents to their military loved ones. And we're very visible in the community as we provide instruction
in life-saving health and safety classes such as CPR, First Aid, and swimming lessons.

The Brookings County Chapter is a community supported and non-profit charitable and volunteer organization.  We're actively seeking volunteers and community partners to help us deliver our servces.

Make the committment to start saving lives and supporting families today.  Take a tour through our website to find out more about us, and to support your local Red Cross Chapter.

Have you or a relative been affected by disaster?

If you have been affected by a disaster, the Red Cross provides a way for you to register yourself as “safe and well.” From a list of standard messages, you can select those that you want to communicate to your family members, letting them know of your well-being.

Concerned family and friends can search the list of those who have registered themselves as “safe and well.” The results of a successful search will display a loved one’s First Name, Last Name, an “As of Date”, and the “safe and well” messages selected.
